Twitch is making headlines in Canada since Alexandre Taillefer’s passage on Radio-Canada’s Tout le monde en parle. His son committed suicide; prior, he reached out on Twitch and it wasn’t flagged by any user nor the service. Taillefer says he doesn’t understand how Amazon can lock in your shopping habits but cannot flag words like suicide on Twitch.

I was invited to talk about what Twitch is and why it’s so popular on CBC Radio One. Above is the whole segment on Twitch and if it should start flagging certain self-destructive content posted by its users. You can read the whole report on CBC.ca
